Welcome to my website! My name is Aliza. I make my home in northern Minnesota and have lived on a farm for most of my life. Our farm has been home to alpacas, llama, angora rabbits, horses, cattle, quail, chickens, guinea, a dog, and of course barn cats. I like to use my own materials for the fiber arts, but when I don’t have what I need, I purchase from other small cottage artisans like myself.

I love history, especially learning about women’s work in the past. It is fascinating to discover how textiles were made and to realize all the steps taken to create an item from the materials around you. Another hobby I enjoy is gathering wild plants and berries. What I harvest is used to feed my family and to create natural dyes for my wool creations.

My mission is to share my creations with people that appreciate items that are handmade from natural materials. For those interested, I offer classes in beginning nålbinding, beginning spinning, needle felting, wet felting, dyeing textiles, and peg loom weaving. To learn more, please send an email. Thank you!
